ARTIST: Ann Cape
MEDIUM: Oil on canvas
ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
This work was completed as part of an Artist Residency at Taronga Zoo. The Zebras spent a lot of time interacting and playing with one another. The pattern of the stripes on each animal are unique, like our fingerprints. The intertwining of these stripes as the animals moved together provided an engaging and graphic image. This was an intriguing and challenging task to replicate.
