ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
This three-plate etching was completed with Michael Kempson at Cicada Press in 2011 and was part of a series addressing landscape, atmospherics and hillside patterning. This relationship of land and sky has been a central issue in my imaging of experience with the natural world – particularly that of central NSW. The stillness, the presence and the subtle visual complexities within these experiences are what I hope to be evoked through this and related artworks.
