About the Artwork
Central to the work is the physical act of stretching the latex, emphasising its elasticity while sculpting it into an organic, flesh-like abstract form. Embedded within the latex is a fine art print—a photographic distortion of my own flesh. The work invites reflection on the body’s mutable, porous nature and layered meanings.
 
About the Artist
A multi-disciplinary artist exploring corporeality, transformation and the uncanny, Rachel is informed by feminist theory and psychoanalysis. Her work challenges traditional depictions of the female body through humour, irony and material experimentation.
