About the Artwork
My work is a personal exploration of belonging within the natural world - not as I see it, but as I feel it when surrounded by it. The energy of the Australian bush, with its chaotic, tangled vegetation, contrasts with its soft, delicate colours. I use organic forms and textures to reflect the landscape’s rich complexity and my own language of mark making to express the dynamic energy of water and plant life.
 
About the Artist
Dana studied art in Vancouver and London before coming to Sydney in 1999 and becoming a full-time artist in 2005. She works on large-scale abstracted landscapes with painterly verve, an intricate line and a nuanced palette. She has won many awards and exhibited widely.
