About the Artwork
Using acrylic and oil paints, inks, oil pastels, wax pencils, graphite and oil glazing, I create the under-layers combining texture, colour and mark-making, gradually tightening up the composition that includes collage pieces from other works.
 
About the Artist
Sandra is an abstract expressionist painter and art teacher who moved to Australia from the US in the early 1970s and fell in love with the colour and light living by the water in Sydney. Her works incorporate complex shapes, colours and marks that create a textural quality.
