About the Artwork
Walking along the pathway at Balmoral one evening, I wanted to recreate the soft evening light casting shadows across the sand and water. I often leave out figures, so the empty beach is just for the viewer. A peaceful place all to themselves.
 
About the Artist
Based on the Northern Beaches, Katie is inspired by the local beaches and coastal paths, and the Australian sunlight. Her recent work is dedicated to studies of water, and she has exhibited at The Other Art Fair and The Affordable Art Fair in Sydney, as well as in group and solo shows at Northern Beaches Gallery.
