About the ArtworkI couldn’t resist these fabulous stems of flame-red flowers and this bowl I had forgotten about. They appeared as a perfect subject with the strong morning light. I love painting light and the shadows the subject throws at different times of the day, working quickly to capture that light before it disappears or changes.
About the Artist
After years as a cook, Christine swapped the whisk for the paint brush and brings to life the love of her kitchen, garden and ceramicscollection. She treats painting like cooking: you add a bit then take some out and tweak until you have the right balance. She has exhibited widely and lives in Mosman.
