About the Artwork
In my philosophy as an artist, this character/figure defines “imperfection” which I call “the avant-garde of perfection”. As artist Helen Frankenthaler said, “That is how art is born, how breakthroughs happen. Go against the rules or ignore the rules.”
 
About the Artist
Intan is an Indonesian-born artist based on Dharug Country in Sydney. Her primary practice centres on painting and drawing. She has exhibited in Australia and Japan and is a finalist in Australian Muslim Artists at the Islamic Museum of Australia.
