ABOUT THE ARTWORK:

This diptych is inspired by the life-cycle of our Australian Outback, which was once a coral reef. I felt a deep connection to the life-and-death cycle of our land and this artwork came from deep in my consciousness. It mirrors my own life when I have cycles, seasons of growth through life and death. As I created I saw depths of layers, vibrant pinks mimicking coral that once lived there, to deep midnight blues and captivating turquoise. This artwork was a finalist in the Macquarie Group Collection Emerging Artist Prize. I love how abstraction allows people to see so many possibilities and my main connection is the story these layers of colours tell.

Timothy calls Mosman home with his Studio Gallery located on Reginald St, and travels between Los Angeles and Sydney. He has upcoming exhibitions in 2022 in Los Angeles and New York City. TJ has recently been invited to have his Exhibitions in New York City 2021, which has been a life-long dream.
