About the Artwork
For years I travelled regularly from Sydney to the NSW Central West and found myself continually engaged with the landscape surrounding me - the stillness and subtle patterning of trees, sky and ground. Working with noted Cicada Press printmaker Michael Kempson, this etching is one of my attempts to capture the essence of those travels.
 
About the Artist
Exhibiting since 1972, Ian has received numerous prizes including the Blake Prize for Religious Art and is a ten-times finalist in the Art Gallery of NSW’s Wynne Prize. His works are held in major collections and he has exhibited around Australia and overseas. He is represented by Liverpool Street Gallery.
