About the Artwork
A couple stands beside a venerable fig at Mosman's Balmoral Beach. They are together but lost in their own thoughts. A small boat bobs on the tranquil water, and a bird has alighted for a moment. Time holds its breath.
 
About the Artist
Jacqueline’s work focuses on observation and interpretation of landscape. Her personal visual language is informed by Early Italian Renaissance painting, delicately balanced between observation and imagination. She has exhibited in Australia and internationally, and won the Gruner and Glebe Art Prizes.
