About the Artwork

I aim to construct balanced and visually appealing botanical sculptures using found pieces from nature. Lash is an abstract reference to the eye, informed by the long, sensually curving pieces of jacaranda. The supporting curve of palm provides strength and an anchor, resembling an eyebrow.

About the Artist
Jenny began her artistic career as a photographer. Currently she constructs botanical sculptures using dried vegetation - usually palm, jacaranda and bamboo held together using copper jeweller’s wire. Jenny exhibits at Art Gallery on Darling, Balmain and works at One Plus 2 artist studios in Lilyfield.
