About the Artwork
I aspire to make humorous and poetic artwork, inspired by the natural world. I like drawing a pair of angels, or a pair of humans with wings flying over a horizon filled with misty rain. Between the possible and the impossible, between the desire to fall or not to.
 
About the Artist
Jumaadi is an Indonesian-born artist working across a range of mediums, including drawing, painting, installation and performance. His practice is informed by personal experience as well as the political and aesthetic lineages of his homeland, including wayang kulit, a tradition of shadow-puppet plays that originated in Indonesia.
