About the Artwork
Trees offer themes of intersection and difference, from the universal role plants play in our survival, to how they represent biodiversity through regional distinction. While respecting its traditions, my bonsai garden embraces the growth patterns and maintenance challenges of our Australian native flora.
 
About the Artist
Working since 1983 with 36 solo and over 200 group exhibitions, Michael’s practice is both nationally and internationally focussed, with recent solo exhibitions in the US, Ireland, China, Thailand and Pakistan. He is represented in the National Gallery of Art, Canberra, and many international and Australian public collections.
