About the Artwork
Floriology is the study of flowers and their meanings where each holds a specific symbol or message. This image of a rose was part of a series of white flower paintings where I used the flowers’ symbolism and assigned a personality type to them. White roses are associated with thoughtfulness.
 
About the Artist
Michelle is a prize-winning artist who has exhibited regularly since 2014 and is currently resident artist at Art Gallery on Darling. She is a regular finalist in art prizes including the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize, Calleen Art Award and Mosman Art Prize. Michelle taught visual arts at Mosman High for eight years.
