In this painting, I’ve felt the land around me and asked how has it been treated and how has it replied? What has been moved, removed, added over time and what has remained? Surface water brings light down from the sky into the land, and this water shines even brighter than the sky's light. 
 
About the Artist
A winner and finalist in numerous Australian art prizes, Rowen has been listed as one of the 100 most collectable contemporary Australian artists and his works are held in public collections. He lives and works on the rolling tablelands near Armidale, NSW.
